Is That Fallen Tree Covered By My Homeowners Policy

Has the storm blown a tree down in your yard, possibly under heavy winds this does occur. In this case we are using a tree that has fallen but not landed on your home.

The ISO HO 2011 provides coverage for debris removal from the residence premises up to $1,000 for any one loss regardless of the number of fallen trees. However, the maximum amount paid for the removal of any one tree is $500 regardless of who owns the tree. Also, coverage is extended for debris removal to situations where a fallen tree blocks a driveway or ramp for assisting a handicapped person even when a covered structure is not damaged.
Check with you agent or carrier to find out what your policy covers.
